Manx Transport Trust members have carried out their most ambitious recovery to date. Isle of Man Road Services 1951 Leyland Olympic no 84 and Isle of Man Transport 1971 Leyland PDR2/1 Atlantean 45 (ex Merseyside 1235) have been successfully returned to the Island.
The extended day trip saw the Atlantean, then the Olympic readied for the journey home. 84 met up with 1235 at Lancaster services on the M6. The two buses then travelled to Heysham dock to return on the 02.15 sailing aboard the Isle of Man Steam Packets Ben-My-Chree.
