All the pictures were taken by Fred Tyrer in the late 1920s/early 1930s. The original glass negatives (plus many more views around the island) are in Fred Tyrer – Richard Davis collection.

<B>Another view of Mona’s Queen - berthed at the tongue – it was usual practice to bring Steam Packet boats into the inner harbour for maintenance, painting etc during the winter months- this continued into the 1950’s. Note the rather rickety looking staging on the funnels<b>
